OPA Golf Day: Thursday 9th June 2011

The day was very well supported by Old Priorians, current school parents and their guests, making a field of 29 players. Prayers were answered when we were blessed with fine weather despite the ominous forecast. After battling the fairways and greens of the JH Taylor course, the intrepid band quaffed a few well-earned drinks on the terrace before enjoying an excellent carvery in the private dining room.

Prizes were presented to the winners. Particular mention to Shane Samarawikrema (OP 1986) who was the best Old Priorian golfer on the day and to Ruaidhre Boyle, whose very impressive round of 4 over, put him on the winner’s podium this year. Well done to all players. Thanks must go to Frank Casali for all the graft behind the scenes in putting the day together, to Phil Hopley for his on site help and to Peter Watson who as usual was the Association’s Official Photographer for the event.

The date for next year’s event is Thursday 14th June.
